Did you guys ever find someone to fabricate these for you? Stratford Building Corporation is a modular manufacturer near Coeur d'Alene, ID that builds all types of custom prefab. Let me know if we can help. Mark Wilson -

[...] We have two custom cottages currently in design, and another design which will be available as a prefab. We’re finalizing the pricing, so we will have a more comprehensive information available [...]

Reggie -
The CAST prefab cottage is 508 gross sq. ft. (interior of finished wall to interior of finished wall) with a 120 sq. ft. covered deck.
ground floor: 325 sq.ft
loft: 183 sq.ft.

Our target price is 125k which includes a poured concrete foundation, delivery and utility hookup at the cottage (the cost of getting the utilities to the cottage will be an additional charge that determined on a case by case basis). The price assumes a level lot with reasonable access. We have some flexibility on the size and specifications so customization is possible and the price could slide up or down depending on your choices.

If you are interested let's set up a meeting at your home. It would give me a chance to check out your site conditions and share what we've learned on the PREFAB vs. site built choice...

Nice design! What is the footprint on this design and square footage of both levels? Cost estimate? We live in Seattle and are thinking about building a dadu and weighing pros and cons of prefab vs custom.
Thanks!

Very interested home owner in Seattle. Please keep me updated when your prefab is available. Love the simplicity and beauty of the design!

Jim--

This is designed specifically for the Seattle ordinance, which is very restrictive with regards to height. If Asheville is less stringent, we could easily modify the design to give the loft a little more head room.
