RUEHMANN RESIDENCE Design 2007 Inspired by the Mid Century Modern design in Palm Springs, the renovation/addition of a 1950s house transforms a small back yard into a series of living spaces and gardens for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying Seattle's temperate weather. The three season outdoor living room with fireplace, tempered glass roof, built-in BBQ/outdoor kitchen is connected to the dining room and remodeled kitchen via large accordion doors and windows that slide out of view. A minimalist water pool provides a focal point and defines a sunny patio in the northwest east corner of the yard. |
