Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) is a non-profit agency providing services to Seattle-area refugees and immigrants since 1985. We are currently in construction of an addition to their existing building in South Seattle.

 The 5,500 s.f. addition combines an Early Learning Center, Administrative Offices and a large Gathering Hall that serves both as a multi-purpose space for the ELC and a community room to support ReWA's other programs.

 In addition to serving ReWA's pragmatic needs as they expand, the Gathering Hall in intended to provide a dynamic and welcoming new image for this growing institution. The "lantern" form is both a literal and symbolic beacon that reinforces ReWA's mission to serve as a place of refuge for their community.
