HOME RENOVATION & ADDITION — PACIFIC NORTHWEST DESIGN — SEATTLE MODERN ARCHITECTURE

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

This unique residence incorporates a second-story addition and first-floor renovation of a 1940's house in Phinney Ridge. The existing floor plan was opened up and space added for friends to share the home.

A distinct butterfly roof and wide red eaves grace the second-level addition. The cantilevered bedroom with huge windows provides lots of daylight inside and a cover for the outdoor living space below. The front door was moved to add more room to the kitchen to accommodate the group that loves to cook.

A compact guest room, with a queen-size bed, is tucked into a nook under the stairs. Two primary suites occupy the second story. Each bedroom has an attached office and workspaces.
