SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

The Steelaway is a two-story cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1 ¾ bath, at just under 800 square feet. To take advantage of the territorial views, the living spaces are on the second floor with a bank of windows that daylight the open kitchen, living, and dining rooms. The first level has an entry, laundry, full bath, and a large and small bedroom. The house features a weathering steel panel exterior. The owners did not want a traditional “cute” cottage, but something distinct from the main house, modern and low maintenance.
