OPPORTUNITY: Design Associate with 0-3 years experience

Location: Seattle, WA 

Under the mentorship of a licensed architect/project manager, the candidate will work on a variety of small/custom residential projects with a focus on efficiently moving them through design, documentation and construction. The candidate will also have the opportunity to assist with the design and production of larger commercial, multi-family, and public architectural works. We always have a mix of project types, such as early learning centers, custom residential work, passive house, multi-family, housing policy consulting, and mixed-use work that require collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • First and foremost you are an exceptional designer who excels working in a collaborative and creative environment

  • A ‘can do’ work attitude on all tasks from the mundane to the extraordinary

  • Be able to identify, break down, and follow through with the complex requirements for permitting in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Solid verbal, written, and graphic communication skills

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited university is required

Technical skills:

  • Proficient with architectural drafting software, preferably ArchiCAD (Note – we do not use AutoCAD). We will train you, if you don’t have ArchiCAD experience but are ready to learn.

  • Familiar with Affinity, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

  • Capable of producing high-quality renderings with Lumion would be a huge plus but not required
